Buying FGD slurry pumps — the material decision is made against the liquor chemistry, not against the abrasion. A grade chosen on hardness alone will wear out early in acidic service whatever its HRC number.
- A49 (≥600 MPa, HRC43) for flue-gas duty at pH ≥4
- A33 (HRC35) for oxidising slurry down to pH 1
- Rubber-lined where corrosion resistance must not depend on a passive layer
- Ceramic silicon carbide for severe combined wear and corrosion
- Wear parts sized against the planned outage interval
- EAC 004 and EAC 010 certification for Eurasian markets

Specifying for Absorber Service
FGD slurry attacks a pump two ways at once. Corrosion attacks the matrix between the hard carbides; the carbides are then lost mechanically. A high-hardness grade that would last well in a neutral circuit wears out early.
- Start from pH, not from abrasion. A49 at pH ≥4 covers most flue-gas duty. A33 covers oxidising slurry down to pH 1. High-chrome grades are appropriate only from pH 5 upward.
- Check chloride separately. Chloride content affects material selection independently of pH and is often omitted from the enquiry.
- Consider a rubber wet end. Elastomer resists the liquor chemically rather than relying on a passive oxide layer, which is an advantage in acidic duty where the solids are fine and rounded.
- Size spares against the outage interval. Absorber recirculation runs continuously between planned outages, so wear parts should last the interval rather than a nominal number of hours.
Supply, Certification and Inspection
We manufacture rather than trade — casting, machining, assembly and testing all happen in our own plants. That is what makes the technical answers on these pages possible in the first place.

What to Send With Your Enquiry
Send the slurry pH and chloride content, the solids concentration and particle size, the operating temperature, the flow and head, and the interval between planned outages. We will confirm the wear material and a spares holding matched to your outage cycle.

Why can we not just specify the hardest material?
Corrosion attacks the matrix between the hard carbides and the carbides are then lost mechanically. Hardness alone does not address that mechanism.
What do you need beyond pH?
Chloride content. It affects material selection independently of pH and is frequently left out of enquiries.
How should spares be sized?
Against the planned outage interval rather than a nominal hours figure, since absorber recirculation runs continuously between outages.
What is your minimum order quantity?
One set. Wear parts can be added to the same order and ship in the same consignment.
What is the lead time?
Standard models held in stock despatch in 7–10 days. Other models are delivered within 30 days, depending on quantity, wet-end material and model.
What payment terms do you accept?
T/T, L/C and O/A, agreed against order size and the commercial relationship.
Do you hold CE and EAC certification?
Yes — ISO 9001:2015 covering quality, environment and occupational health, an energy management system certificate, CE under the MD and EMC directives, and EAC 004 and EAC 010 for the Eurasian Economic Union.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
A manufacturer. Four production bases and ten subsidiaries, with casting, machining, assembly and testing in house, and annual casting output of 18,000 tonnes.
How are pumps packed for export?
In fumigation-free wooden cases, which avoids the treatment and documentation that solid-wood packing requires in most destinations.
Do you accept third-party inspection?
Yes. Arrange the inspection body with the order and we will schedule the works test accordingly.
