The foundry is on site
SHANGLISHI PUMP GROUP was founded in 1994 and now runs four production bases, covering slurry pumps, clear water pumps, submersible sewage pumps and chemical pumps. Casting is done in house on six medium-frequency induction furnaces, with a combined 35 tonnes of melting capacity, feeding an automated precision line that produces 18,000 tonnes of castings a year. Alloy choice decides how long a wear part lasts, so keeping the melt shop under our own roof means a liner specification can be adjusted for a particular slurry without going out to a supplier and waiting on their schedule.
One site, most of the process
The site covers 200,000 m², of which 150,000 m² is workshop floor, and around a thousand people work across it. Machining, casting and assembly all happen in the same place, which is what keeps lead times steady when a job calls for a non-standard liner or an odd shaft length. Pumps built here are running in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and across the Middle East — more than a hundred countries, with ten branches and over a hundred offices behind them for parts and service.
Every pump is tested before it ships
Our test platforms include a semi-automatic clear water performance bench rated to ISO 9906 Grade B accuracy, plus rigs for slurry performance, accelerated life, flowmeter calibration, rotating-disc wear and metal resistance. The plant also hosts a workstation of the Machinery Industry Drainage and Irrigation Machinery Product Quality Testing Centre (Shijiazhuang), which brings pump performance testing to GB 3216-2005 Grade 1 accuracy.
Five standards we helped draft
SHANGLISHI is a drafting company for five Chinese pump industry group standards: Technical Conditions for Corrosion-Resistant and Wear-Resistant Centrifugal Slurry Pumps; White Iron Castings for Slurry Pumps; Centrifugal Ceramic Slurry Pump; Single-stage Double-suction Split Case Centrifugal Pump; and Technical Conditions for Chemical Process Pumps. Each one is published, and each can be looked up.
