Buying submersible sewage pumps for a network — stations differ in what reaches the well, and a single standard specification across a network leaves some stations wrongly equipped. The variable that matters is fibre content.

  • Impeller form selected per station against fibre content, not standardised across the network
  • Single-, two- and three-vane impellers on a common pump body
  • Cast iron, SS304 or SS316 to suit the effluent
  • Guide-rail installation allows removal without draining the well
  • Protection package prevents a blockage becoming a motor replacement
  • From 30 kW upward the cable gland is monitored as well

Specifying Across a Network

Municipal networks are usually specified once and rolled out everywhere. That works for the pump body and the control philosophy, but not for the impeller.

  1. Impeller form per station. Single-vane gives the largest free passage for fibre; two- and three-vane give a smoother curve. Stations receiving high-fibre domestic sewage and stations receiving mostly stormwater should not carry the same impeller, even if the duty point is identical.
  2. Material per catchment. Cast iron suits most municipal duty; industrial catchments may need SS304 or SS316. This is a catchment question, not a pump question.
  3. Standardise the frame and control. Where the pump body, guide rail and control panel are common across the network, spares and operator training stay simple even though impellers differ.
  4. Guide rails at design stage. Retrofitting an automatic coupling to an existing wet well is far more expensive than specifying it at construction.

Protection is the same across the network: three stator thermal switches opening at 125 °C, oil-chamber leakage probe with automatic shutdown, motor-cavity float switch, and from 30 kW upward a cable-gland leakage probe.

Supply, Certification and Inspection

We manufacture rather than trade — casting, machining, assembly and testing all happen in our own plants. That is what makes the technical answers on these pages possible in the first place.

What to Send With Your Enquiry

Send the station list with the duty point, fibre content and effluent character for each, plus the wet well arrangement and the control philosophy. We will return a selection with the impeller form and material stated per station, and a common spares list for the network.

Should every station in a network carry the same impeller?

No. Impeller form should follow fibre content, which varies by catchment. The pump body, guide rail and control can be common; the impeller should not be.

Can pumps be removed without draining the well?

Yes, where guide rails are fitted. Specify them at design stage — retrofitting an automatic coupling to an existing well is considerably more expensive.

What material for an industrial catchment?

SS304 or SS316 rather than cast iron. Send the effluent character for each catchment and we will advise per station.

How is the network protected against blockage damage?

Three stator thermal switches opening at 125 °C, an oil-chamber leakage probe that cuts power, a motor-cavity float switch, and from 30 kW upward a cable-gland probe.

What is your minimum order quantity?

One set. Wear parts can be added to the same order and ship in the same consignment.

What is the lead time?

Standard models held in stock despatch in 7–10 days. Other models are delivered within 30 days, depending on quantity, wet-end material and model.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T, L/C and O/A, agreed against order size and the commercial relationship.

Do you hold CE and EAC certification?

Yes — ISO 9001:2015 covering quality, environment and occupational health, an energy management system certificate, CE under the MD and EMC directives, and EAC 004 and EAC 010 for the Eurasian Economic Union.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

A manufacturer. Four production bases and ten subsidiaries, with casting, machining, assembly and testing in house, and annual casting output of 18,000 tonnes.

How are pumps packed for export?

In fumigation-free wooden cases, which avoids the treatment and documentation that solid-wood packing requires in most destinations.

Do you accept third-party inspection?

Yes. Arrange the inspection body with the order and we will schedule the works test accordingly.
